Whereabouts do you live? I’m in the DC area, and the V8 models really aren’t that rare. The W12, on the other hand...

Are they rare? I saw one downtown the other day. It was beige. BUT it was the A8L TDI and I thought it was very cool

In the Denver area they are everywhere as well, but it’s one of the largest markets for Audi.

I think the standard wheelbase D3 A8 is actually more rare. They are fantastic cars.

Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Anything higher than an A4 is rare over here (even if we have an Audi dealership nearby to boot).

A8s in Canada are rare to come by (unless you live near some high-economy city like Toronto or Vancouver perhaps).

A8Ls in NJ were the executive-mobile of choice. I used to see so many of these on the road during the common leasing period, then I saw the S/A7s when they happened to be the new thing. TBF, the county I live in is ranked 8th in the country for median household income, so there’s enough leases to keep cars interesting. So many Teslas right now.

Are they rare?

I was thinking the same thing. The majority of A8s I’ve seen have been the “L” variant.

Which kinda makes sense: if you are shopping for the “big” Audi, why not get the long one? If rear seat space isn’t a priority, the A6 and A4 models (and variants thereof) are probably more appealing.
